Does Amazon Ship to Thailand?

One of the questions I had about shipping and receiving items bought online was,

“Does Amazon (.com) ship to Thailand?”

The answer back then was, no. I never saw anything for sale on Amazon that shipped to Thailand so many years back. There were so many things I wished I could have had sent. Sad days…

The Answer Today? AMAZON SHIPS TO THAILAND!

Sort of. There are sellers who have opted to cash-in on the international expat community who need things from Amazon, and they offer the shipping service in some cases. The average cost I pay for shipping just about anything from Amazon to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, or Pattaya – is around $40. If the item has any weight to it at all – the cost will be over $50.

Then you have the import fees. They are not much, and I think even the Thai post downgrades what you should pay – so you’re happy, but I typically pay around 300 to 1,200 Thai baht on import fees on things shipped overseas from Amazon to Bangkok (Chiang Mai, Phuket, etc.).
