Martin has been selling the hell outta his e-book, “Your Thai Girl” and I thought I’d mention it again here. At first he made 1 ebook focusing on how to go about getting a decent Thai girl in Thailand. It’s NOT easy, as there are many swerves girls are trying to pull on the average visitor. The average guy falls for them. Thai girls know what they’re doing if they’re trying to trick someone into marriage or out of their money.
Usually the Thai girl you think is “your Thai girl” is really, everyone’s Thai girl as the wrong Thai girls don’t remain exclusive to you – they keep right on working the bars and “go with man”.
Martin, like myself, doesn’t like to see that happen. or, you could avoid the entire issue by going for a higher class of woman, say Taiwanese or Japanese.
I don’t think I understand… class as defined by MJ is in relation to what? Morality? Income? Please define…
in relation to intent, and honesty. no woman in Taiwan or Japan wants my money. i’ve never had my ass grabbed in Japan or Taiwan, with some woman calling me “sexy” (i’m over 50). i honestly don’t see why anyone would need a book to meet a Thai woman. they come up to you and initiate conversation trying to pick you up.
MJ – you’re painting the entire female population of Thailand with a broad brush. There are Thai prostitutes in the tourist areas. Did you meet Thai prostitutes in Ubon when you visited Jason? I’m guessing as you walked in public in Ubon not one Thai girl grabbed your fat ass and called you sexy. In fact, even in Udon where you’ll see a lot more prostitutes you won’t have that happen either. Why? Those aren’t tourist sex areas. If you’re saying that you had your ass grabbed and someone called you sexy in Thailand then I’m guessing you were in Patpong, Patong, or Pattaya – 3 sex tourist areas that this will occur in. If not, you were in another sex tourist area. If not, you were in an adult establishment where prostitutes gather and display that behavior.
In Thailand – if you’re in a place the whores frequent you’ll get treated as you want to be treated – with an ass grab and an insincere compliment.
Why someone would need a book to help them find the right person in Thailand is because many people haven’t spent xx years in Asia like you. Believe it or not many haven’t visited here. Believe it or not even many expats don’t have the slightest idea about how to find a decent Thai girl – and how to initiate a conversation with a girl that isn’t a prostitute because that’s all they have experience with. Some visitors are coming here for a week. Two weeks. They’re on a time schedule. They need to know the ropes and fast. They don’t have time to waste.

Brilliant… except it’s idiocy. You’re again painting with the broadest of brush strokes. People that speak in generalities are often seen as ignorant by anyone they come in contact with… when what they mean is to be speaking about specific instances, not entire populations. Unless they really are ignorant, and then they speak just like you are without any qualifiers.
If you really believe your own quote I’d be surprised. You’re not a spring chicken. You’ve been around. I know you don’t believe that statement. I’m positive – it’s beyond possible. Either that, or you’re ripe to have your clock cleaned by some crafty Taiwanese woman who grabs your heart.
I have met and spent 8 years with a Thai lady who has never once asked me for money. I also have met many expats here in Ubon who have Thai wives or girlfriends. Many have long happy satisfying relationships. I think it is fishing, that type of fish you catch depends on the fishing hole and the bait you are using.
Agreed Darwin. I’ve seen lots of guys look no further than the bar they’re sitting in. So have you… We all have. It’s sad, but then maybe the fishers are no better than the fish. I’ve seen that lots of times too.
