Huge Lizard in Thailand

Big lizard in Thailand.

Big lizard found in Thailand.

This thing was 5+ feet long and mid-body was 10 inches in diameter. Beautiful lizard… anybody know what it’s classification is? I looked up horned dragon – and didn’t see it. It looks similar to those, but this one eats fruits and vegetables, not insects – at least that’s what I was told.

    1. They have one over there? No, this one isn’t there. This is the biggest iguana I’ve ever seen. I’m not really a lizard guy, but I think this is considered massive. I did see one tourist video in Thailand that took a shot of one in a parking lot that just dwarfed this one though. That thing had to be 7 feet long.

  1. Hi Vern, Damn that lizard is huge dude! I’d really like to see the Komodo dragons (Varanus komodoensis) while I’m in S.E. Asia, but the cost would be far too high. Interesting article on ThaiVisa about PAD and the Thai/Khemer border negotiations. Please give our regards to everyone at your house. Best wishes always,
