"Samui Go-Kart" is located on Samui's Ring road in Bo Phut (Northern Ko Samui around the BIG Buddha). If you're coming from one of the ferries in the south (Raja or Seatrans) you would continue around the island counter-clockwise and go past Chaweng to reach Bo Phut and these go carts.
There are 3 types of Go Karts to choose from, with the fastest gasoline powered karts capable of reaching speeds of nearly 100 kilometers per hour. That is 60 some miles per hour, and quite fast and dangerous. You'll be happy to know that your kids have some slower options that are more safe and not so scary. There is crash material around the course so you'll not likely get hurt too seriously unless you are going very fast. If there is a crazy group out riding you might want to sit out for a little while until they retire their keys. No sense turning a fun holiday at the go karts into a lifelong disability!
The slower karts start at 300 baht for 10 minutes (about $8.50 usd) and the fast go kart will cost 400 baht ($12.00 usd) for 10 minutes. If you want to ride for some extra time they don't discount the cost as is typical in Thailand - but they do add some minutes onto the time you would have paid for a typical session.
There are refreshments available to ensure you can stay as long as you want. The prices are a bit high considering this is Thailand... but how much would you pay in your home country? I remember in Tampa, Florida the rate was about $20 usd for a half hour. But for something fun to do on an afternoon when you feel like you've done EVERYTHING in Samui, why not head over to the go karts in Bo Phut in Northern Ko Samui, Thailand? Ko Samui Maps >
