These are links to the articles about Thailand Islands we have on-site. Thailand has some of the most incredible islands in the world, comparable to Hawaii, and yet entirely different geology, topography, etc. Having explored both Hawaiian and Thailand’s islands I can say that I love them both for different reasons. If you get a chance to see any of these Thai Islands I strongly recommend that you do:
Koh Chang – located just west of Pattaya and Sattahip is a lovely, secluded, and pristine island called Koh Chang that is a top tourist destination for Thais and foreigners alike wishing to have a quiet few days with little nightlife or craziness. There are also islands off Koh Chang that are exceptionally beautiful and probably the quietest seclusion you could find in all of Thailand.
Koh Samui – located in the province of Surat Thani, this small island is jam-packed with people and as beautiful as it is – isn’t very peaceful. Young travelers really enjoy Koh Samui, it has more things to do than Pattaya, and without much of the nasty nightlife. Koh Samui is recommended if you haven’t seen it – there are some beautiful spots. Here is a separate article about Koh Samui as “Spa Island” – there are heaps of great spas of all sorts on the island.
Koh Phi Phi Islands – Koh Phi Phi is not a secret anymore, but it’s still a pretty cool place to go if you don’t mind it being overbuilt and full of people. It’s not the quaint little island pair it used to be 20 years ago.
